Apple McIntosh

コンピュータではなくリンゴの話だ。
スーパーマーケットに行くと、色んな種類のリンゴが売られている。総じて小振りのものが多いのだが、どれが生食に向いていて、どれが加工向きなのか確認してみようと思い2種類のリンゴを2つずつ買ってみた。
で名前を見てえ？とおもったのがタイトルの McIntosh だ。Apple で McIntosh なんて出来すぎだろと思ったのだが、どうやら Macintosh はこのリンゴの名前から取られて様なのだ。
Wikipedia にはこんな記述があった。

The McIntosh was also reportedly the source of the name of the Macintosh computer.
